I recently moved to a new home and there were two strays already in the neighborhood. A large, black Lab/Pit mix and a medium, brown hound mix. Both are young dogs, but the black dog's tail was injured. He was in constant pain, and yearned for human contact. He had lost most of his hair, his ribs were visible and his tail was broken and infected, he began is eat his tail and lost all his it except for 5 inches. There was bone and muscle visible when I took him to Riverview Animal Hosp. They accepted him and treated him before knowing HAND would assist with his procedures. He is now healthy and happy and has blended with the other pets well. Before I moved I already had 5 dogs, one cat and one bird. I've now added BlackJack and Sandy, the two neighborhood strays, to the "pack."
Any assistance I might get with Blackjack's care is greatly appreciated.
