I received a phone call from a friend of mine that fosters dogs about a pup named Ollie. She had been informed that he was being abandoned by his owner because of his injured leg. Apparently, the owner had got drunk and somehow broke Ollie's leg. After Ollie had surgery and he did not regain the use of his leg, the owner did not want him anymore since he was broken. He got another dog instead. The former owner's roommate took care of Ollie until he had to move back in with his parents. He could not bring Ollie with him. I had room for one more so I decided to foster him. Ollie is a sweet, playful guy. He loves romping around on the carpet with his stuffed toys, fetching, and being petted. He is very soft and loving. He wants to play with my other dogs but can't because of his leg. I can also tell that he enjoys going outdoors but is hindered because he has to constantly hold that leg up. I need financial assistance in order to have Ollie's leg amputated so he will have a much happier life. He deserves to be able to sit and lie down without trouble and discomfort, and to be able to play.
