In August 2005, Kendall Storm and his sister Karrington were spotted running loose in Tennessee on Interstate 75 during rush hour traffic. A veteran rescuer quickly stopped his vehicle to go to their aid and as other drivers helped he managed to get slip leads around both dog’s necks. What could have been certain death for these two beautiful, young dogs instead turned out to be the best day of their lives. Attempts to find the dog’s owner were unsuccessful and luckily, for Kendal Storm and Karrington they landed in rescue and not at the animal shelter or hit by a car.
After a holding period, they were taken to be vetted and altered.
Kendal Storm was neutered and tested negative for heartworms but Karrington was not so fortunate and she tested positive for heartworms. Kendal and Karrington are both well-behaved and very well adjusted dogs and fit right into their new rescue situation without any problems. Kendal was posted for adoption.
Karrington will have to be treated for heartworms and then posted for adoption.
About a week later Kendal Storm began behaving oddly. He had a different stance than normal and he would not eat. Plans changed. Instead of immediately going up for adoption his medical issues had to be addressed immediately. This month Kendal was taken back to the vet where he was diagnosed to have bladder stones. His surgery was scheduled, performed, and now Kendal Storm is recovering nicely. However, he has a VERY large vet bill at $800.
Kendal Storm and his sister Karrington are two of the sweetest, calmest dogs you will ever meet. He and his sister Karrington are simply joys to have around and they will both make wonderful family additions. These are two exceptional Dalmatians and deserve the best chance at healthy happy forever homes. They do not need to stay together but are perfectly well adjusted as individuals.
