As you can see in the picture Nubbie has a nub for a leg...The mail carrier stopped me one day and said there was a man who was going to kill his puppies- if you know where we live then you understand the methods of euthansia...I went to his home & told him we would place his puppies for him so we headed into the woods (kind of like a horror movie) there was a box about 5x5 with a lid on top- he opened the lid & 5 puppies ran to hide from the light but to my surprise they look older- he explained he had them in this box for 5 months now..There was waste over a 2 feet high and as I picked them up the smell was so strong I had to take a break..The last puppy I reached for the owner said "You don't want this one - he has a rotten foot" I explained "YES I do" when I lifted him up the maggots were covering his leg...
Nubbie as all his litter mates hung out at the veterinarians and then were slowing introduced to Touch- Light- Voices- and every other aspect of a normal life....and after 6 weeks they all found incredible homes....
